Lilyan
Lilyan is the smiling face and warm voice you will often times be greeted by on your first encounter at Gee Eye Care. A team member and administrator since the very beginning, she has helped train each of the other team members in her expertise; exceptional customer care, insurance verifications and office efficiency. A native of Mississippi, Lilyan received her business degree from the University of Mississippi. In her free time, she enjoys singing in the church choir and participating in various community projects. Her favorite food is seafood and she is a huge sports fan.
Tran
Tran holds the second longest tenure of the Gee Eye Care team. A native Houstonian and the second oldest in her family she graduated in the top 5% at Alief Elsik High School. She graduated from the University of Houston where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology while she was an officer of the Pre-Optometry Professional Society and volunteered time on various community projects. In her spare time she loves movies, reading, tennis, and trying new foods when eating out. However, while at home she enjoys her mother’s meatball spaghetti. Tran is planning on attending the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Katherine
“Kat”, as we call her, graduated from Baylor University in May, with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico into an Army family. In her spare time she loves to dance and spend time with family and friends. She has traveled around the world and loves learning about foreign cultures. One of her favorite foods is chocolate covered doughnuts with lots of sprinkles. She is currently applying to the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Jason
Jason is a fellow Houstonian who has achieved a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the
University of Houston. He is an active volunteer who takes pleasure in serving the community. He is also a certified adult and pediatric vision screener through Prevent Blindness of Texas. In his free time he enjoys traveling, trying out new food and loves to tinker with new gadgets. Jason is also in the process of completing the requirements to apply to optometry school in the future.
Nick
Nick is a native Houstonian and proud graduate of the University of Houston. Graduating with honors in 2011, cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as minors in Chemistry and Nutrition. Self proclaimed, "Proud Houston Cougar" you will often find Nick at the Cougar Football games and displaying his pride in the office with UH apparel. Some of his interests include; photography, aquascaping, automotive detailing and tennis. He is currently seeking admission into the University of Houston College of Optometry program while serving in the officer role of Historian in the Pre-Optometry Professional Society at the University of Houston.
Jimmy
Jimmy was born and raised in Houston and is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a Minor in Biology at the University of Houston. In his free time he enjoys dabbling in music, singing, and playing basketball. He considers himself a food critic and is always in search of new food trucks to try out. If he could eat one thing for the rest of his life, he would choose a good ole’ fashioned hamburger, with extra ketchup! He is currently seeking admission into the University of Houston College of Optometry program while serving in the officer role of Public Relations in the Pre-Optometry Professional Society at the University of Houston.
Sherine Sherine is a local Houstonian and youngest among three siblings. She is currently working towards her Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in psychology at the University of Houston. While participating in the Health Professions Program at Hightower High School, Sherine shadowed Dr. Gee where she first gained an interest in the health of eyes. She enjoys playing the piano, singing in the church choir, and sleeping-in on rainy days. Aspiring to be an optometrist herself one day, Sherine is in the process of completing undergraduate and optometry school requirements.
